The famous Wildwood Boardwalk is widely recognized as the finest in the country. The two-mile long boardwalk boasts five amusement piers, three world-class roller coasters, and two water parks. The boardwalk not only features more rides than Disney World, but there is entertainment available for all ages. Visit our shops, restaurants, family theme nights and weekly fireworks. Come discover why Wildwood is "America's Great Boardwalk Experience!”
Looking to make a splash? The inland waterways provide water sports, deep-sea fishing, boating, whale watching and a variety of excursions to suit every taste. Charter a fishing trip for a full or half-day at most docks, or enjoy scenic night fishing. Adventurer II, located at Wildwood Fishing Center on Rio Grande Avenue, offers four-hour deep-sea fishing trips daily. Free bait and fishing instruction are provided for the novice fisherman.
Victorian Cape May
Cape May provides a unique 19th century atmosphere including America's largest collection of authentically restored and preserved Victorian homes. There are over 600 of these beautiful decorated "summer cottages" lining Cape May's gas lit streets. An attractive pedestrian mall lined with eateries, pubs, and unique shops including several antique stores is a great place to stroll with loved ones or friends.
You'll find dining options to tempt any taste bud in the Wildwoods. It's a good thing the salt air stimulates your appetite, because there's incomparable food on our island. From the burgers, hot dogs, pizza and fries on the boardwalk...to romantic cafes where you can dine on fresh seafood, pasta, or sizzling steaks while you watch the sun sink into the bay. Satisfy your sweet tooth with hot funnel cakes, homemade fudge, fresh popped caramel corn, ice cream...and, of course, salt water taffy.
The Atlantic City Casino hotels rise along the Wildwood Boardwalk like the sand castles of old. Indeed, several of the earlier hotels have been incorporated into these new glass and steel structures which define Atlantic City's skyline today. The casino industry has assiduously nurtured Atlantic City's tradition as the east coast's entertainment Mecca -- making the resort a truly exciting venue for America's finest entertainers. Atlantic City still rekindles cherished memories of days when the city was the "Playground of the Nation."
